About the Hotel
Our reception is open daily from 06.30 am - 10.00 pm.
For arrivals outside reception hours, please inform us in a good time.
You can cancel your hotel room free of charge unitl 06.00 pm on the day of arrival. After 06.00 pm on the day of arrival we will charge you 100% of the room price. For group reservations and booked conferences, please consult our general terms and conditions for the cancellation conditions.

The intermediate cleaning of your room takes place every 2nd night. We have defined this standard for our hotel in order to conserve resources and operate more sustainably. If you would like your room cleaned daily, this is of course possible - our reception team will be happy to fulfil your request.

Internet use in the entire monastery complex is free of charge for hotel guests! Our open Wi Fi network (WLAN-Holzen) is available in all hotel rooms and conference rooms, in the breakfast and bar, as well as in the monastery restaurant.
Charging cables for the most common models are available for hire free of charge at reception.
You will find a current daily newspaper in the breakfast bar area of the hotel.
A fax machine is available at the reception (€ 0.10 per sheet).

Enjoyment
We serve the Holzen breakfast buffet in the main building Hildegard from Monday to Saturday from 6.30 am - 10.00 am and on Sundays and public holidays from 07.30 am - 11.00 am. The breakfast buffet is included in the room price.
Daily changing lunch buffets or a fine selection of our Holzen dishes, there is something for everyone.
Our monastery inn with beer garden is an idyllic place to relax an refresh.
Hotel bar „von Treuberg", MO-FR in the evening from 6.00 pm.
Our service team will be happy to provide you with information about the ingredients. On request, our kitchen team will also prepare special dishes according to your individual wishes: be it lactose-free, fructose-free or gluten-free. Please let us know your requirements in good time before your arrival.
Our Klostergasthof offers several rooms for celebrations.
Service
We are not an explicit family hotel - nevertheless, families with children can feel at home in Holzen. We are happy to provide cribs and highchairs. However, for a carefree family holiday in Holzen, we ask you to bring your own additional equipment for your children. Lots of unspoilt nature can be discovered on family excursions around the monastery.
Dogs are welcome at any time (€ 15 per day). As a rule, we accept one dog per room - we ask for your understanding. Please keep dogs on a leash throughout the hotel grounds. There is a Robby Dog waste bin in our large car park. Dogs are allowed in the hotel. However, out of consideration for our other guests, we ask you to leave your dog in your room during breakfast at Haus Hildegard.
You are welcome to leave your valuables in the safe at the reception.
A cigarette machine is located in the outdoor area of the beer garden.
On request, we can bring an iron and ironing board to your room free of charge.
A good night's sleep in abundance. To ensure that you really are perfectly bedded, we will be happy to bring your favourite pillow to your room. Choose your favourite pillow: Neck-shoulder support pillow with 2-chamber system or neck spine support pillow made of viscoelastic foam.
Neeldes, sewing thread and shoe shine sponges are available from reception if required.
The laundry service is chargeable and is charged per item of clothing. You will find a plastic laundry bag and a laundry list in your room, which you can use for this purpose. Please hand in you laundry at reception before 9 am. The cleaned laundry will be returned to you by 12 noon the following day.
If you would like to be woken at a certain time, please let the reception know. You can also programme your wake-up call yourself. Proceed as follows:
- Pick up the receiver and press the "+", "4" and "6" buttons.
- Now enter the desired time as a 4-digit number. Example: 0905 für 09.05 am.
- A wake-up call sounds at the time entered, but nobody answers.

A lockable bicycle storage shed as well as a repair box, air pump and helmets are at your disposal. Various bicycle spare parts and maps are available at reception (some subject to a charge). You can hire bikes (2x ladies' and 2x men's) in the "Relax“ and „Sport“ for € 15 per day and bike including bike helmet from reception. We will be happy to give you suggestions for cycle tours. Please book in a good time.
Over 70 different herbs are planted in our signposted herb garden and are waiting to be disovered by you. You will find the herb garden when you leave the hotel at the main entrance and follow the path to the left.
Go on a audio-guided walk around Holzen Monastery with your smartphone. More information available at the reception.
In cooperation with the Ehingen Beekeepers' Association, the Dominikus-Ringeisen Werk and the Meitingen secondary school, an educational beehive and information trail have been installed. You will find it in the south garden.

Please inform yourself online about our offer (wellness massages, ayuverdic treatments, osteopathy, singing bowl therapy). To book your treatment, please contact the reception. The "Balance" massage room is located on the 1st floor. A bathrobe will be brought to your room before the treatment.

We will be happy to provide you with information about running routes around Kloster Holzen at the reception. We will be happy to give your our brochure with jogging, hiking and cycling routes. Nordic walking poles can also be borrowed there.
Cultural events such as jazz, organ and church concerts take place at irregular intervals in Holzen Monastery.
